Krishna Das With a Girl On His Lap

eo to’ eka kalir celā Here is just another disciple of Kali-yuga. sahaja-bhajan korchena māmu,
sańge lo’ye parer bālā He engages in sahaja-bhajan (so-called “easy bhakti”), but does so by posing as “uncle” to the children of others, and then stealthily taking the illicit association of their daughters.

This is the same Krishna Das, the man who says that, there is no person behind the name Krishna. This creature is seen here in this video doing god knows what! This person has been mentioned in the book The Yoga Of Kirtan by Satyraja das (steve rosen). Here is what Rosen says in another article,
“Little more than a decade ago, few were aware of the virtues of kirtan, even in the yoga community. Today, kirtan events attract yogis and non-yogis alike. Normal, everyday people chill out by listening to kirtan CDs and popular music artists sample kirtan performances on their disks. Krishna Das, whom Yoga Journal once dubbed “The Pavarotti of Kirtan,” and Jai Uttal, an extremely gifted kirtan singer, are arguably the most popular of the genre.”

Krishna dasa: “I once said to my Indian father, Mr. Tewari, I said, “Who is greater, Shiva or Vishnu?” You know, I thought it was a reasonable question (laughter) in some spheres. He looked at me like I was crazy. He said “My boy,” he said, “you can’t, how can you compare infinites?” Right. (laughter) It don’t work. There’re all the same. You know. Sometimes you like pasta with tomato sauce, sometimes with pesto. Same shit. (big laughs) No matter. Not at all.”

But these people Krishna das and Jai Uttal are not singing Krishna kirtan, they are signing mundane sounds which are rendered poisonous because of the singers being mayavadis.

avaiṣṇava-mukhodgīrṇaṁ pūtaṁ hari-kathāmṛtam
śravaṇaṁ naiva kartavyaṁ sarpocchiṣṭaṁ yathā payaḥ
(Padma Purāṇa)

“greatest hits of kali yuga” viz. a song that has become famous in the age of kaliyuga. It has nothing to do with krishna prema or bhakti.

This book eulogies without discrimination all persons who sing Krishna’s names be they mayavadis, sahajiyas, sensualists or even bonafide devotees of iskcon. This is nirvishesha vad that the author Steve Rosen indulges in.
Kirtan can be performed by someone who has received the mahamantra from a sampradayik guru.
This can be either initiation or by personally meeting and taking regular siksha as with George Harrison who was indeed a siksha disciple of Prabhupada.
Krishna Das has no sampradayik diksha guru nor has taken regular siksha from a sampradayik guru.
On top he is sensually fallen as we see in the video.
A devotee does not let some young girl sit on his lap and is cavalier about it.
Thus we must avoid his association.

Steve Rosen’s praise of various mayavadis also put a bad light on his own character as a devotee connected to Iskcon.
